Namaste and greetings from Melbourne Australia

All around the world, in all Hindu homes and temples, we start each new venture with a special offering and prayer to the Elephant God, Ganesha.

The "Vakratunda Mahakaya" shloka is a popular prayer in Hinduism dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Here it is in its Sanskrit form:

"वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि समप्रभा

निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा॥"

"Vakratuṇḍa mahākāya sūryakoṭi samaprabhā
nirvighnaṁ kuru me deva sarvakāryeṣu sarvadā"

The "Vakratunda Mahakaya" shloka is a Hindu prayer dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Its meaning is simple yet profound: it seeks the blessings of Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles from all endeavours. Chanting this shloka is believed to bring auspiciousness and success, as it invokes the divine energy of Ganesha, who is revered as the remover of obstacles and the provider of wisdom and intelligence. Its impact lies in its power to inspire confidence and overcome challenges in one's life.

Best wishes to all of you in your endeavours.
And may you all achieve what you aspire to.

Namaste,
Sunila
